Coney Island, the latest book by Magnum photographer Bruce Gilden captures the sunbathers, the weekenders, and the sideshow freaks who stroll the Boardwalk and sprawl on the sands of Coney Island. This selection of photographs from the late 1960s up through the late 1980s, some of which are paired with handwritten recollections, testify to Gilden's ability to eke out the characters and eccentricities of daily life.
